Running for Board of Education:
As a young candidate seeking this position, I bring a fresh, Gen Z perspective to the table. My own experience with an IEP provides knowledge to not only bridge the gap between standard and special education, but champion for self-advocacy and building self-confidence. I will encourage the expansion of curriculum focused and community-based field trips to broaden student’s knowledge of potential career opportunities. I will support the ongoing SRO position and will work with the new C.O.R.E. Committee for fair representation.
