Running for Board of Education:
As a member of the Board of Education I will work tirelessly to examine all current programs to challenge their current state by focusing on improvement. I will advocate for a permanent SRO presence and expansion of that position focusing on drug addiction issues.  I will examine the possibility of offering high school curriculum that aligns with local business to create a solid path for apprenticeships and careers. I will champion for an overhaul of current programs to provide a broader community benefit, for example, special needs, pay-to-play, parental rights in education and health decisions. I will support a student program to foster community volunteer work.

• Volunteered as a youth sports program coach for baseball, soccer and football
• Volunteered for many years within the classroom environment in this district assisting teachers in supporting our community’s children and their parents as well as branching out to other CT districts in need
• Vetted in current educational technologies.  Used this knowledge during the Covid-19 shutdown to actively support the Colchester schools in working alongside the various administrations addressing individual student educational needs
• Strong understanding of the needs and challenges in special education having children with IEP and 504 plans
